If you asked me a year ago who my pick was, it would have been Charlie McEvoy.
Um, but a lot of things change in 12 months and I'm not necessarily diminishing the impact that Charlie McAvoy has leadership wise for this black and gold team, but especially the way he kind of lost control of things.
at the end of the year last year that directly impacted the start of this year.
If you're just now stepping out from underneath a rock, Charlie McAvoy is suspended for the first six games of the season due to his retaliatory slash against Buffalo's Zach Benson, which, for the record, I would have slashed the shit out of him too.
Chara probably would have just grabbed him and dropped the gloves and beat the piss out of him instead of slashing with his stick.
Like, it's just a really, really interesting thing.
Not a good book.

What's your immediate takeaway of the Boston Bruins front office bestowing the captaincy upon David Pasternak?
Yeah, I'm not too surprised, to be honest with you, especially after the McAvoy suspension.
In my head over the summer, I was like, there's no way they're going to name a guy captain who is going to miss the first six games of the regular season due to a suspension.
I think it's a different leadership style, right, from Pasternak, maybe from leaders in the past, maybe a little bit more...
