Bethell’s Growing Aura, Vaibhav’s Destiny Is Written & England’s Odd Bowling Choices

What was your general takeaway from this game?

Uh, obviously a very good win for Eng- uh, for England.

Um, played well, played, um, obviously were under pressure a little bit with the bat and ball, but came, came out strong and, and just won comfortably in the end.

Um, I thought India were lacking confidence.

A bit of confidence.

Obviously it's a new side and they're trying to rebuild a little bit, but just missing big characters and probably lacking a bit of aura in the, in that side that they usually have.

Um, but that will come, I guess, with a bit of time and guys playing a lot more.

But it just didn't feel like that same India that comes to England generally.

Obviously you have like-- You've always had Virat and Rohit, and they've obviously finished now.

But then you've got like Sky, uh-

Mm

...

Hardik.

Bumrah's a big miss.

Um, but obviously Sky I think, um, I, I think Sky's been dropped up, which I find hard to believe.

And then, um, Hardik, I'm not sure if he's injured or if he's dropped as well.

So yeah, they're just missing a bit of that, um, extra bit.

But it was, it was a good game.

Decent game.

You know, um, in fact, we'll come back to aura.
