And I think it is time just to sort of put a, a pecking order.

And then I do think Liam Dawson, if you're gonna play two spinners, I mean, he, he is-- he's been around a very long time, and I, I think it's just time to say, "Right, Liam, you are our second spinner." And all these other lads that come into the squad, whether it be Rayan Ahmed or Mason Crane, they will be there if there is an injury, as there was to, to, to Adil Rashid in that, in that white ball series.

Um, but I think now is the time with a year to go to the World Cup that they play Liam Dawson, keep playing because he is a very good, very tough, very experienced cricketer who you'd want in a big match.

So anyone else catch your eye in that 50-over squad?

I think Curran will slide into that top, that, that top seven because he offers real variety with obviously left-arm seam, and obviously he can bat as well.

Then you've got your three seamers, Archer, Tongue, Atkinson, Adil Rashid being a spinner.

And then to make up the squad, Cox and Banton, Jamie Overton, Baker, plus Liam Dawson.

I mean, I think that, that looks like a, a really, really nicely balanced squad for us.

You mentioned, uh, this group being together and playing ODIs 'cause they don't play, you know, domestic list A cricket anymore, sort of learning on the job really, which is where you have to give guys that bit of leeway, right? Young guys sort of coming into international cricket and still trying to find the tempo both with the bat, with the ball, and in the field of 50-over cricket.

So I think myself, Rooty, and Adil Rashid obviously got a lot of caps, but the rest of the guys, I don't think anyone else has probably played over 50 games, even the captain.

So games under the belt are massive.

All these learning experiences, both good and bad.

Josh Tongue didn't have the best game the other day.

There are decisions to be made still, and I'm a bit concerned that Rehan Ahmed in the series where this was meant to be his series to show what he can do if England don't have Adil Rashid next year, and he's not even made it to the decider before being dropped.

That is a concern for me.

Um, but yeah, there are encouraging signs.

Um, we've had numerous injuries.

Jos Buttler's was injured, and we've got Jacob Bethel, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid have been out of the side.

They're four [laughs] very big players to take out of one side.

And then you see, you know, Tom Banton at the top of the order, an unfamiliar role.

So there's lots of depth aspects that you wanna continue to grow.
