Last time, Sheldon and I talked about the hard stuff. This time we're talking about the good stuff, the things you get back in recovery. For most of my life I've been waiting for Sheldon to get sober. But this time I was waiting on the side of the road in downtown Panama City holding a poster, watching my son ride his bike around the corner at the end of a 500-mile ride. And that kind of waiting was so beautiful. There's a difference between not drinking and recovery. Recovery gives you a life you can't even imagine. Sheldon tells us about riding Ruckus to Relief with his friend Daniel Barousse. A bunch of misfit skateboarders rode 500 miles to raise money for free skateboards for kids. Then we get into why this time was different, and how dancing again brought back his joy.
