[laughs] But the basho is upon us, and we do have to start with, um, a little bit of bad news.
He is out, and this is not merely a sprained his knee in training.
This is a very serious medical condition which flared up towards the end of last week.

Well, he injured his left thigh and developed compartment syndrome in said thigh and had to undergo, what was it, two or three emergency surgeries, I think it was.
Uh, two I've got.
Um, the-

the initial, um, surgery, uh, when he was admitted to hospital was three hours, because, um, after receiving the injury at the Sadogatake stable on the 1st, he was able to get home to his own stable, but he started experiencing intense pain in his leg and was also vomiting, and he was transferred to hospital by ambulance.
He was diagnosed with compartment syndrome and had to undergo a three-hour surgery to prevent tissue necrosis.
But then the next morning, had, had to have a further two hours of surgery due to continued bleeding.
