Um, a few months back, Jeremy Boring did an episode with a guy discussing integralism, and I w- I remember watching some of it when it came out, and then it kind of went to, in the, on the back burner.

I don't think I understood how important this issue was until Rob and I did the encyclical series, and actually going through Leo XIII's encyclicals, and realizing that every single thing he was warning us about, and not just him, like, the Pius' and, uh, like all of those popes that were warning about modernism and warning us about the, uh, liberalism and all that stuff, they were warning us about the American ideals.
About s- secularism, yeah.

It, it, like everything that we based our constitution on, and, and it took a while for me to, um, realize how brainwashed I was by just being an American and learning stuff in school.

When, when he first did the episode, I was like, "Oh, that's interesting, you know, they're talking about integralism." But going back and rewatching some of this stuff, I'm just like, "Holy cow, this is, this is a way bigger issue." I also had somebody reach out to me that, um, told me, uh, he's at a university, and he said there's an active purge going on at universities right now.

So it's not, it's, uh, Benedictine College, Franciscan University, and Ave Maria.

All of them are dealing with this issue, and it's essentially Kruiper's versus Ionis.

And they are, they're really worried about the next generation recapturing the institutions.
Mm-hmm.

Now, looking back on it, I'm starting to realize that this is, this is actually something we need to discuss.

I mean, I cut a few clips up, but if you guys wanna give, like, a few quick, like, preliminary statements of what your thoughts were on the, on the episode and what, what, what your, what your thoughts are on this topic before we jump in.
Ryan, go right ahead.
