Ole SylvesterHostYeah, it's a big subject, right? I guess we'll start with, I'll start here by sort of saying you have to acknowledge that this part of the logistics world is daily business, right? I think from the outside, people think this really is the exception.
But when you dive into it and you're in that world, you know that for bigger airlines and MRO operators, this maintenance over the runs a lot, breakdowns happen, and these events happen more than you think.
I'll back this up a little bit by giving some credentials to why I think this is here to stay.
I think it's 10-year waiting lists for Airbus jets now, maybe backlogs running close to 20,000 jets.
All that's going to do is it's going to force airlines to keep older aircrafts flying.
And these older airframes are going to need more maintenance checks and more component overhauls.
What we did at Markham Precision, and if I date back through to MNX, who became Markham Precision, we looked at what the airlines did.
What did the airlines do? How were they dealing with this? And the airlines themselves and the MRO organisations they're creating AOG desks or material planning teams who work round the clock to resolve these challenges.
So we thought a sensible thing to do and what we do is mirror that, right? We created our own AOG desk.
I mentioned North America being the starting point in the USA, but that was great.
