The Getaway Exhibit Pt. 1

Helen Blaine said good afternoon to Morty the doorman as she walked into the lobby and took the elevator up to her fifth floor apartment.

The time was 3:55.

At 4:00 PM sharp, Morty's telephone rang.

"Help," a man's voice gurgled.

Side note, how do you get your voice to gurgle? I should try.

[laughs]

[gurgles] No? Hmm.

[laughs]

I'm just, I'm just, uh, imagining the one bit in The Muppet Show, the Gargling Gershwin.

I don't know if you have ever seen that, but that's, that's what's in my head, so, so-

That reference is lost on me, unfortunately.

Shout out to the three people-

But unfortunately-

... who know what that is.

[laughs] I don't have water.

I don't wanna make anyone accidentally vomit by hearing me make grotesque sounds-

[laughs]

...

so I shall not gurgle.

Oh, yeah.

[laughs]

"Help," a man's voice gurgled.

"Stabbed.

503." Then the weak voice fell silent.

Apartment 503.
