Uh, saw some numbers broke down where I think the last two months it's been really bad.
He can kind of take over that center field spot, allow the Astros to play some other guys in, in left field.
Three years control is, is probably the spot that I, I struggle with a little bit.
I know that we can talk about maybe what his potential would've been and, uh, we've seen the highs, we've seen the lows.
Just felt like three years of a controllable starter that has showed some, some good things at the Major League level.
You might be able to get a little bit more than, than a rental bat, uh, for a couple months.
But just, uh, that's a r- quick recap, but Kenny, what's your, what's your initial thoughts on the trade?
Yeah, y- you definitely upgraded defensively to, um, probably the best metrics for Dalton Varsho this year are outs above average.
Um, like you mentioned, you know, kind of going more on a downswing in, in recent weeks.
But he, he's not whiffing as much, um, but he is chasing and he, like I mentioned, just the, the bat speed isn't all the way there right now.
But we've seen production before fr- from Varsho and, um, you know, in my mind it'd make a little bit more sense if, you know, if you had some of the, these power numbers you could tap into with a, a short portion left.
