We're super close to monetization on Spotify, but you need 2000 consumption hours in the last 30 days.

So if you do an hour show and, You got to have 2000 people a month basically listening.

Does anyone have any good tips or hacks to get consumption hours up? It might be, be a bit cheeky.

So he might be from the UK, but would asking a load of friends and family to have the podcast episodes on in the background work.

The, you know, I told him, I said, I'm not trying to be snarky, but I've heard the best way to get people to listen to your show is to, you know, make it good.

So my other thing is I don't know what the CPMs are for the Spotify, you know, advertising thing.

Everybody seems, and I kind of go back to this on occasion where, I think people, the reason they want any kind of advertising is it's some sort of like validation.

Like I'm really a podcaster now because I have sponsors and I'm like, you were kind of legit.

Like I was listening yesterday and Adam Curry goes, I hate the phrase indie podcaster.

But for me, I just, everybody seems like advertising is the, you know, the Holy grail.

And I'm like, okay, we all, who doesn't want to make money? But I was like, it just seems like any kind of advert, even bad advertising.

Look, I'm making a dollar 50 per thousand downloads, you know, or whatever it is.
