More attacks overnight in the Middle East.

This after the U.S. struck more targets in Iran.

Officials there accuse the American military of hitting a wedding.

The U.S. military in a statement says it, quote, never targets civilians.

Despite President Trump now saying he's not trying to force Iran into a deal, ABC News national security and defense analyst Mick Mulroy says there's still a chance for diplomacy.

The

primary purpose of the war was to ensure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon.

So that could be done hopefully through diplomacy with Iran agreeing to another nuclear agreement that we could accept, one that would ensure they don't enrich uranium and they don't acquire nuclear weapons, and that's validated by international inspectors.

We're learning more about the woman behind a stabbing attack in New York's Times Square this week.

Police say the suspect stabbed two people within 20 seconds.

A 68-year-old man was wounded.

Someone stabbed her.

ABC News has learned the second victim is 32-year-old Erin Piacenti, a vice president at Bank of America.

The victim had recently celebrated her second wedding anniversary.

She

was killed in the attack.

The attacker was shot and killed by police.

A big win for progressive Ed Markey in Massachusetts.

He upset his much younger opponent in the Democratic primary for Senate.

Incumbent Markey says parts of his platform are simple.

We need to end the war on Iran and stop the bombing

in Gaza.

He says he also wants to stop billionaires and wannabe kings from getting more power.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney speaking out about the trade fight with the U.S.

He says the attitude of the U.S. in the discussions would have been one that Canadian industries would either be subsidiaries of the United States or it would lose altogether.
