So I just had to cut off an old friend that I had just rekindled with after I had my son.

Her and her husband are separated, but they're still married legally and they live together, and recently we went to a fair where she expected me to pay for everything.

The last time we went out, I suggested Applebee's because it's cheaper and I don't mind paying usually.

But when I said this, she actually said she was expecting something more fancy as if it was a date of some kind.

Mind you, I'm also happily married, but I just laughed it off and we went to Applebee's anyways.

Well, recently we go to the fairground with our kids for a play date where never once did I say I was paying because I'm not a millionaire and I can't afford to take a family of three plus me and my son, so really a family of five, all to the fair on my own dime.

We get there and I'm buying the pass for my son and myself, and my friend said to me, "Oh, I left my wallet in the car." So I just say to her, "Okay, don't worry about it.

I'll just go ahead and pay for it and then you can Venmo me the money later on." So I pay for the passes, we go on rides, and we're having fun, and eventually it's time to eat.

We get food at the fair which was extremely expensive and her kids are just yelling out what they want and she has absolutely no control of them.

So I hurry to order everything and it's here that this girl literally had the nerve to add more food to the order which brought my total to somewhere around $110.

After we eat, it's getting really hot and our kids are really tired, so it's here that I ask her straight up, "Hey, before we leave, can you please send me the money via Venmo?" She then looks at me dead in the eyes and said, "Oh, I have no money." She then basically said that she's broke and that her husband cut her off, but I then asked her, "Okay, if you knew that, then why did you suggest the fair and why did you say that you would Venmo me the money?" She then said to me, "You wouldn't understand.

So I just said to her, "Okay." And then I put my son in the stroller and I got up to leave with my friend following me in tow with her kids.

As we are leaving, she has the nerve to say how she wishes they could go into this escape room, not included in the passes that I bought everybody, and then keeps looking at me with those begging eyes.

Honestly, it made me feel disgust so I said, "No, we need to go back because it's getting late and my kids need to nap." We both say bye and then the same day she's calling and texting asking for the next hangout and inviting herself to my house, saying that she can come right now with her boys but I just keep saying I'll get back to her.

It's now been four days and she calls and texts me every day, which I just don't respond to.

So seriously, has anyone else ever experienced something like this before? Because right now I don't know what to do.
