um and oh gosh that can be a whole nother episode by itself uh right yeah there's there's so much to this um but now and we we've spent most of the you know most of our conversation talking about our parents caring for our parents and the people we love but hello we're aging too you know our our spouses our mates or whatever everybody's aging we are aging so um you know There are women out there who are listening who don't have living parents.
Now, should we be doing some of these very same things for ourselves so that the people who may one day have to help or advocate for us aren't left scrambling?

So let me give you three different examples of some things that we should be doing in our middle age.

one is let's get out of the let's get out of the old days where we thought that it was a will and we're fine the will will take care of everything because it won't we know that now i just named 12 different documents needed in order to care for yourself that doesn't mean you have to be 70 to put those documents in place you can put those in place now and you can interact enact them when needed when need them but that will be a great gift to your children.

a better gift to your children than any inheritance that they would ever get from you is to help them through this journey, because this journey of caregiving can cause immense stress.

We didn't talk about the dynamics that happen with families that are going through that.

So when brothers and sisters get together and they're all talking about how to take care of mom, that can get pretty That can get pretty stressful in and of itself.

So I lost my, you know, a big portion of my daughter's senior year of high school because I was in that scramble that I talked to you

And I asked her for 11 years, please, please, please, please get your affairs in order.

And I'm like, oh, please, if I, what do you want? She'd be like, what do you want for Christmas? I want your affairs in order.
