🚨 Alvarez WANTS OUT! Arsenal Deal ON As Real Madrid Eye Hincapie! | Transfer Daily

And on the subject of strikers, the big news today is all about a striker, and that is Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid.

The big, big news yesterday that he confirmed that he wants to leave Atlético Madrid.

He told, um, a media outlet, Radio La Red, that he wants to leave Atlético Madrid.

Um, said it publicly now.

He wants that exit, and this now has all of a sudden got everybody in the world of football talking.

And the reason being is, uh, two big links.

First of all, his desired move is to move to Barcelona.

He wants to join Barcelona.

Barcelona want him.

We know that Barcelona put a bid in of a hundred and fifty million euros to try and sign Álvarez.

However, that was not backed by Atlético Madrid, who are absolutely refusing to sell him to Barcelona.

They are quite categoric with that, that they do not want to sell him.

Now, probably the reason why he's come out publicly is to try and force their hand, because his preferred move is to move to Barcelona.

However, we know that Arsenal have been interested in Julián Álvarez for quite a long time.

Andrea Berta, of course, brought him to Atlético Madrid from Manchester City.

He was the person who, who sorted out that deal for Atlético Madrid.

Would love to bring him to Arsenal, right? And we've heard about this swap deal.

We've, uh, I reported on it last week, and I must admit, I throwed a, a, a little bit of a, sort of, cold water on that whole sort of thing happening.

But when you start to look into this, it's a possibility again.

Atlético Madrid's starting to look like they could be resigned to him leaving, and would much rather him go to Arsenal than him go to Barcelona.

So, they do have a proposed, you know, sort of solution to this, where that could involve a deal which would take Julián Álvarez to Arsenal, with Victor Gyökeres coming back the other way with some money added into it.

When I reported it last week, and I remember, I've forgotten the name of the guy who broke the news, and everybody was saying, including myself, I'm gonna admit it, everyone was saying, "Yeah, what are you talking about?" No, there is something in this.

This is a possibility that this could happen, and this is gonna be one of the big stories of this summer.

What do Atlético Madrid do? Do they sell Julián Álvarez to Barcelona? And it'd be, look very embarrassing if they do, considering the, the stance that they've taken.

They're starting to give me the vibes of Alexander Isak last season, um, and his move from Newcastle to Liverpool, which did eventually happen.
