so yeah it's and actually when you saw McAtee come good was at the end towards the end of Forest's European campaign I think they went to like Mitterrand or something like that in Denmark and they really ground out like a really great result and he was part of that process so yeah I think I think McAtee we're going to start to see a really he's a really good player he's probably going to have a really good season as Ben just said

um okay let's move on to afc bournemouth obviously a new manager in rosa um they have so far played a few different teams they lost in the opening day to man city 2-1 they looked actually pretty good in that game um apart from a set piece where they kind of defended poorly in the last minute goal they look good in every game um due to uh everton they've drawn to newcastle and beat lincoln in the camera cup for nil um they've yet to win a game in the premier league but i do again i do think they've looked pretty good one of their biggest issues though and probably their biggest issue flat out holding on to leads holding on to leads finishing well they look great to 70 minutes and then very very quickly something goes wrong we saw what happened against everton conceding a james harkovsky goal in the 91st minute and then against newcastle despite managing to take the lead um they then concede in the 88th minute to ramsey they look really good throughout most of the game i like everything about them i like the midfield i like the defense even like going forward uh the attacks evan nielsen when he's playing there looks brilliant yeah these are

And, and I know that he's played in a more attacking midfield role for Midtjylland, um, and actually scored a fair amount of goals for them in the season before he moved to Italy.

I think you make a great point, John, on it's not that we're always struggling necessarily against the teams with bigger budgets, but it's the ones that are minnows in comparison.

I've just got an example here side by side of us and Midtjylland, who done us over quite badly last year.

You know, they've got a 12,000-seater stadium.

Their wage bill is estimated to be a fifth of Celtics, and you can see all the other numbers there, of course.

You know, I think it is frustrating when you see teams like, maybe not necessarily Club Rouge, because I think a lot of Celtic fans would like us, would like to compare ourselves and like us to be similar to Portuguese, Dutch and Belgian sides.

You know, people like, clubs like Club Rouge, Porto, Benfica, Sporting, Ajax, Feyenoord, etc.

And the real frustration is when you come up against teams like Midtjylland or Bodo/Glimt who are consistently punching above their weight.

Now, they don't win the league every single season.

Yeah, it feels like a miss from LAFC not, not to do a little bit more.

I mean, it sounds like they did right by David Martinez to move him on to Midtjylland because of some immigration issues his family was having, which you can understand why that would be for a guy from Venezuela.

Uh, so I, I think that there's some sympathy I have for them there, but they just...

They did a lot of classic LAFC things, like the Fire did a lot of classic Fire things of good moves but maybe not, like, incredibly flashy, and maybe I'll, I'll eat my words on this and they'll be great.

Um, for the reasons that Stinch has outlined, I don't think Atalanta are a great value at 11-2.

Um, I, again, there are some decent clubs in the competition this year, and I think that, you know, you could see Atalanta falling in the knockout stages to, um, someone you weren't necessarily considering an FC Copenhagen, you know, even, you know, a Braga or a Midtjylland or something like that.

My focus has actually been on the third favourites, which is Monaco.

Like for me, for us, it's hard not to feel like this is a kind of revelatory moment, right? We've been getting results against sides who we thought we should be getting results against.

You know, the results that were positive, we had caveats like, oh, but they got red cards like against Midtjylland or whatever it might be.

You know, Chortum, fine, we were freaking dominant, and it was beautiful, but it was Chortum, right? Their promotion side, whatever.

He had a phenomenal performance, Kasum Ouattara, off the bench.

And I think there was some criticism on him after his first appearance and getting sent off against Midtjylland.

Clearly he wasn't 100% fit yet.

So, eh, I don't think we did come out of it better, nah.

No. A-again, like, y-you could, you could say like, "Oh, Sorensen, he looks like a player," but what we've done is we've went and getting Duran and Ho, who were at, at the top of their game and playing really well on an upward trajectory, and then we went and get somebody like Sorenson, who's had a, a year in the lull because he's been playing for Parma, who don't really suit his Midtjylland style.

So we're gonna have to try and help pick him up again.
