Winter Afternoons with Angie McBride - 8th July 2026

I wanna know how the Telstra outage affect you, affected you today.

I know a few people woke up, they could only, uh, do, uh, triple zero calls.

Some people didn't have internet.

And it does halt a lot of, a lot of things, doesn't it? Because w- we were hearing the Garms stopped.

Um, I know the Victorian train stopped.

I mean, it must've, must do, have to do with communications and things like that.

So were you put out this morning? Let us know, 8223-00-00.

I was caught up, oh, mate, was it a couple of years ago now? Probably maybe over a couple of years with the Optus outage, but that was a long time, wasn't it? That was quite a few hours.

I don't think it came on until about lunchtime.

I'm not sure if, uh, if w- if we were affected today here at Five Double A with the phones, but let me know, 8223-00-00.

Be interested to know, uh, if, if it's, if it's a problem.

We still don't know what happened, but, uh, we, uh, will keep our eyes on that, um, as soon as Telstra let us know.

And Richard Pascoe I'm sure will ta- talk through it as well.

Uh, we heard, uh, maybe in the last sort of hour or so, there's reports of a Boeing 737 cargo plane, five on board, uh, going missing over the Arabian Sea.
