The conflict between the United States and Iran is escalating.

Fox's Trey Yingst is aboard the USS Washington warship in the Arabian Sea.

As the USS George Washington is operating, it is protected by a variety of guided missile destroyers.

Things are changing very rapidly.

We believe so, though over the last coup- the last day or so we've had claims from Iran of how many tankers they've hit, so probably traffic is gonna be, uh, reduced over the next week or so and then we need to see how things respond.

Iran has just declared that, um, they've extended, expanded the territory over which they'll be looking for vessels that are not complying with their administration, includin- including the Arabian Sea.

So they're trying to make it much more difficult for the shuttle tra- shuttle tank- tanker traffic that was the recent way in which oil was being, was being removed from the strait.

So Iran is trying to make it more challenging.
