#257: Blessing in the Harvest

And let me tell you, there's so many people that are asking questions from anybody in this ministry, Jonathan and I personally, why do things work out for you the way they do? And yes, we are givers.

Yes, there's seed time and harvest when it comes to our finances.

But here's another principle that I want you to get intoxicated with here tonight.

There is a blessing in the harvest.

And I can tell you that as I reflect and as I was reflecting over my life this afternoon writing this message, I was thinking about the goodness of God on display in my personal life.

And I was believing God for a house for a very, very long time, a decade probably or more.

And I was believing God.

But when I got the house, and everybody has heard that testimony.

How many of you guys have heard that testimony? You know, when I was believing God for the house, I wasn't believing God for a brand new car.

I wasn't believing God for all of the furniture to be paid off.

God just did that as a bonus.

And I want you to understand, being a servant of God, it pays to be a servant of God.

Can you say hallelujah? So there's a blessing that we often talk about and it comes out of the love that God has for us.

So I've even heard Pastor Luke talk about it.

God blesses you because he what? He loves you.

Period.

Turn to your neighbor and say period.

But there's also a blessing that comes when you obey the word of God.

So there's a double, there's a two-fold blessing.

There's a two-fold reward when it comes to serving God.

It's not just because he loves you.

He loves you.

But it's also because when we get intoxicated with the word and then we obey the word, there is a reward that is attached to that.

Can you say hallelujah? And he's really not vague about it.

Turn with me to Proverbs 1130.
