absolute no-brainer and uh dave you know what i've been enjoying 11th edition and we wanted to try and touch on a different side of competitive 40k because 11th edition new edition great rule set very very accessible models are the best they've ever been and a lot of people are looking to start either new armies or completely start playing competitively in 11th edition And we wanted this video to be a little bit of a gateway for people to get introduced to more of our content, which has been pretty much on the cutting edge of competitive play.

But this one's going to be a little bit more all-encompassing because I know when I start playing like a new game with different classes or even when I started playing 40k, I was looking for someone to...

But combining that with maybe starting to play competitively is something that we wanted to touch here.

yeah especially if you're actually making a serious monetary investment which warhammer can oftentimes be you know you're going to invest in an army paint your time to put it together and you're going to go to a tournament play which is your time and money and like making a bad decision can sometimes put you off if you're not in the right competitive mindset so i think it's also important to match your competitive side with your kind of expectations you know what i mean of what you would want to get out of an army because warhammer is It is more balanced usually than ever, but there are still some things that are imbalanced.

I mean, I started playing six years ago and I was a massive esports background before then and I love competitive side of things.

So I was straight in the competitive end, you know, whereas some people might be in the lower end or something.

We're going to measure these along these axes roughly, okay? And I can write some text in to write caveats in.

the longevity and this is kind of the amount of data sheets the archetype and what it has access to and historically how games workshop has balanced these things and then also the model range you know the hobby and the law side of it uh and for reference vic and i own about six to seven armies each so we've got a pretty good coverage across all of these and the complexity so complexity we've sort of said is like the reward along the time investment so you know something like imperial knights might be quite quick to um pick up and master but Whereas something like maybe, you know, Aldari or Tissons might take a long time to master and give you a longer time investment in there, for example.
