Dave SchmidtGUEST
64:45
It had, you know, it's basically like from the now last edition.
Dave SchmidtGUEST
64:51
So it was Tyranids and Space Marines.
Dave SchmidtGUEST
64:53
And my son has loved Tyranids since the first time You know, we went into a hobby store together and he was looking at the boxes.
Dave SchmidtGUEST
65:00
He repeatedly would come back to tearing it.
Dave SchmidtGUEST
65:03
So I knew I knew he was really interested in it.
NathanHOST
38:51
Yeah, they've just decided that can wait for the indexing, which, you know, fair enough.
NathanHOST
38:58
Tyranids are in third, 40 players, 4.4% of the meta, 57% win rate, two event wins, three top fours, nine top tens, and a 1.21%.
NathanHOST
39:07
And then after them is Tau Empire, 48 players, 5.3% of the meta, 54.5% win rate, one top four, five top tens, and a 0.34. And then top five rounded out by World Eaters, 32 players, 3.5% of the meta, 54.5% win rate, two event wins for World Eaters, four top fours, eight top tens, and a 2.02 over it.

Good job, World

AnthonyHOST

Melt.
NathanHOST
68:41
John Johnson has the next question, which is, help me as I lie comatose in bed all day with a fever.
NathanHOST
68:45
What should I take to my post-Space Marine Codex September local league? I'm between Emperor's Children, Votan, and blowing the dust off my Tyranids.
InnesHOST
68:53
You
Ed BlalockHOST
7:30
All right.
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:31
Anyway, last time we talked, you basically convinced me that if the Tyranids ever show up anywhere in reality, the whole galaxy's fucked.
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:41
Yeah.
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:41
Like, there's nothing like that.
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:44
And then it got me thinking about, like, you know, what if something came from another galaxy? And the answer is they wouldn't be able to stand up to the Tyranids, but...
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:54
I do want to talk about a group that came from the other galaxy.
Damian HarmonyHOST
7:57
And as we talked about last time, it's the Yuuzhan Vong.

21 MINS LATER

Damian HarmonyHOST
29:23
The Yuuzhan Vong thought nothing of suicide attacks, as you could imagine, and they valued aggression above all else in a fight.
ChrisHOST
36:04
So these are the kind of players that did really well early on.
ChrisHOST
36:08
Always nice to see Tyranids up there with quite a lot of 100 scores.
ChrisHOST
36:11
So that's awesome.
ChrisHOST
36:13
And, ah, okay, Evasion Fleet.
ChrisHOST
36:17
So let's have a look here because we like to keep our Tyranids fans happy because we're really good at Tyranids.
ChrisHOST
36:21
Tyranid Prime with Lash Whip and Hormigants.
ChrisHOST
36:24
Tyranid Prime with Lash Whip and a Brick of Hormigants.
ChrisHOST
37:18
We've got double Maliceptor, Neolictor, Tyranifex, and a little unit of Von Ryan Sleepers.
ShaneHOST
2:39
He then says, Shadow third member? I'm down with that.
ShaneHOST
2:43
Yeah, I have a buddy that I play with at the Friendly Little Games store, and he keeps his Tyranids in a plastic bin.
ShaneHOST
2:52
Not at the bottom of a plastic bin, not arranged, maybe magnetized in a plastic bin.
ShaneHOST
2:58
I'm talking, it's deep, like a milk crate, and he just has them piled on top of one another.
MarkHOST
1:52
We'll get through it.
MarkHOST
1:53
Um, but yeah, this episode's gonna be, uh, about Tyranids.
MarkHOST
1:56
I'm excited for this one.
MarkHOST
1:57
It's one of these episodes I kind of stumbled across accidentally.
MarkHOST
2:00
It's not like some major, um, you know, it's not like a Primark or even like a name character that you know about.
MarkHOST
2:06
Um, but with Tyranids, yeah, it's kind of like they evolve and adapt, and they get all these new species and all these new branches and lines and stuff.
MarkHOST
2:14
So we're gonna go down one of these different branches and explore all these forgotten and maybe useless, maybe too dangerous, maybe it only had a use for a day.
MarkHOST
2:25
All these different species that the Tyranids have come up with.
MarkHOST
2:52
We'll get through.
MarkHOST
2:53
Um, but yeah, this episode's gonna be, uh, about Tyranids.
MarkHOST
2:56
I'm excited for this one.
MarkHOST
2:57
It's one of these episodes I kind of stumbled across accidentally.
MarkHOST
3:00
It's not like some major, um, you know, it's not like a Primark or even like a name character that you know about.
MarkHOST
3:06
Um, but with Tyranids, yeah, it's kind of like they evolve and adapt, and they get all these new species and all these new branches and lines and stuff.
MarkHOST
3:15
So we're gonna go down one of these different branches and explore all these forgotten and maybe useless, maybe too dangerous, maybe it only had a use for a day, all these different species that the Tyranids have come up with.
MarkHOST
3:28
Um, it kind of is a throwback to, like, 2000s when there's a little more creativity in GW.
MarkHOST
14:41
Tyranid? Or is it a fraud? Necron or Tyranid? Which one?
Tyranid GirlGUEST
14:46
You see, Tyranids, I only think they're, like, cells in a body.
Tyranid GirlGUEST
14:52
Like, there's only one brain.
Tyranid GirlGUEST
14:53
It could just be one organism.
Tyranid GirlGUEST
14:57
Like, we don't value that.
Tyranid GirlGUEST
14:59
I don't know.
Tyranid GirlGUEST
15:00
I obviously have a weird view on Tyranids.
MarkHOST
15:03
No, I like it.
LukeHOST
29:19
way you said last week was really interesting where it was like they they are the the point that the game is based around yeah and because they're like six point that that is another big that's that's the other reason i'd say why they the game could really shrink because if all the thousand suns all the world eaters all the death guard all the um sky empress children all your space marines care space marines sisters of battle maybe you know stuff like that yeah but like you know like those sort of things if they all go up in toughness the game will get smaller and that's really interesting i think it'll make the horde armies feel more like hordes and the armies feel more and that was another thing as
LiamHOST
29:52
well that they they were going through in the video uh we had people asking about this i don't understand why you'd ask this because it kind of defies change and, you know, imbalance in these changes, is, oh, does everything else, like, your Tyranid Warriors and everything, do they go up? It's like, well, no.
LiamHOST
30:09
Because they reiterated, and rightly so, this is a Space Marine change.
LiamHOST
30:15
Nothing else should go up until it isn't a power-up.

11 MINS LATER

LukeHOST
41:23
I do think they're probably going to have to look at how Biobos work.
LukeHOST
41:25
No, no, no, no, they don't need to.
LukeHOST
41:27
To balance Tyranids.
LukeHOST
41:28
Easily the best 8-to-sheet in the comics.
ChrisHOST
3:31
yeah
ClayHOST
3:31
so i don't i don't and and i was never really that big of a starcraft fan anyway i just felt it it was just too close to to 40k and gw the space marines look like space marines from 40k and i knew it and at some point i knew that they had been working with games workshop that's why they're real the space marines and the zerg are real similar to the Tyranids and the Space Marine faction did 40K.
ClayHOST
4:02
But I just don't understand the huge buy-in that these stores are pushing.
ClayHOST
4:12
And I'm like, but it's an unproven game.
