# Episode Notes: This week on Zed Games Joy (@Mythical\_Water), Río Robayo (@rio\_robayo), and…
It was Frosty Games Fest last week, which, if you don't know, is a local...
Oh, sorry.
It is a games showcase that is part of a global showcase called the Summer Games Fest, highlighting all the cool, hottest games from around the world.
So we're very lucky to be joined in the studio by some developers featured in the showcase, as well as a very opinionated journalist...
Complimentary.
Red to fill.
How
are we all doing today? My question to you, Joy, what is the ideal video game?
The ideal video game is one that looks good.
One that's pretty.
From an artist, really? Yeah, I guess to give a more proper intro than help, I'm lost.
I'm an animator and an illustrator, so...
Yeah, I care possibly a bit too much about how a game looks.
Yeah, a lot of really visually beautiful games in this Frosty Fest.
It's exciting to see, yeah, so many just talented, like, illustrators, animators.
My people! Yeah, someone's got to do it.
But there were a lot of very narrative-focused games, and I'm very excited for seeing more of them come out and reading lovely text.
Yeah.
What about you, Alex? What is the perfect video game?
Um, I think any game that, like, successfully gets all its components in sync with each other, you know, like, the music, the art, and, like, the game design, like, they're all, they all work in a way that, like, compliments, rather than sort of, like, anything being like, oh, this is just very pretty, but there's no story.
It's, like, having, like, that story that really, like, ties into the game design really well, and having, like, when it all just comes together.
