That's not because we've lost interest in aviation or run out of things to say.
Over the past months, we've been working on a project that grew directly out of this show, and today's episode is here to share that with you.
So why has Extended been quieter? We've obviously all got day jobs, and these have been a bit distracting, but if you followed our RAF Coastal Command series, you'll know how much time we spent talking to historians, authors, and researchers about the aircraft, the operations, and the people behind the air war at sea.
Those conversations and the research sitting behind them have now become Constant Endeavor: RAF Coastal Command, the first book and audiobook to come out of Aviation Extended.
Although narrated and written by me, it really belongs to the wider Coastal Command and maritime aviation community, and to the guests and supporters who've helped us tell these stories over the past few years.
The work that would normally go into our regular episodes has, for a while, gone into turning that material into a structured beginning-to-end story that you can read or listen to in one place.
The audiobook version has been re-engineered and remastered for audiobook form, and the e-book reflects the audio content, but it's much deeper than a straight transcript and can stand alone as an e-book on Coastal Command itself, and the unique content we created.
