For the 500th episode of Wrestling With the Dawg Broadcast at FlairFlop.com, the Three Faces of Fear unite to debate and discuss the MONTREAL SCREWJOB from WWF Survivor Series…
Eric AllenGuestJoe DrillingGuestDarsieHostSo I am excited to get into a impactful, I guess, a monumental moment in pro wrestling history, and I know we kicked around a few ideas on what would we like to do to cover for episode 500.
And I am honestly surprised that it's taken 500 episodes to get to Montreal, Canada, November the 9th, 1997, because as, we'll, we'll be also reviewing the Dark Side of the Ring episode of that as well.
But as discussed in that episode, I feel like the Montreal screwjob has been discussed, penned, podcasted, documentary'd to death to screwing back.
And I'm, I feel, I feel like at least from my end, that is why I haven't asked to cover this episode sooner.
But when I emailed you guys about covering that Survivor Series match and discussing the Montreal screwjob, what memories and thoughts came to mind for both of you guys?
You know, at this point, it, I was, I had not come back to wrestling as, like, a serious fan until right after this, basically.
And, uh, after, like, you know, I was a Hulkamania kid, all that stuff, and then I was like, I would watch on occasion if I was channel surfing or home on a Monday, I would watch Raw or I'd watch clips of Nitro or, uh, on Saturday morning, watch clips of Superstars or Pro or whatever the, Worldwide, whatever, whichever one it was.
Um, but I wasn't, like, watching wrestling in the way of, like, that I watch wrestling now, where I watch, like, a weekly show every week.
Um, I wasn't into wrestling enough with my friends at the moment to, like, hear about the screwjob, you know, like the next day at school or anything like that.
Uh, so most of my memories about this are Talking about it on What a Maneuver and the build up to it that we watched there and also now just the entire circus that, like, uh, like I feel like this event is looked at as sort of this fracture point.
There was wrestling before the Montreal Screwjob and there's wrestling after the Montreal Screwjob, and they are two different things at this point.

We talked about this a lot when we did What a Maneuver in that that is the myth of the thing, but then when you actually watch it, and also the outcomes of it, like what wrestling became had very, actually had very little to do with the Montreal S- Screwjob.

Because, because like within a year both all of the main participants except for Vince McMahon are not wrestling anymore, right?
