Every year in September, the United Nations holds the General Debate, a high-level session of the UN General Assembly, UNGA, where leaders of 193 countries come and speak.

First, the heads of state, then the heads of government speak, followed by ministers from countries where the leader doesn't attend.
We have an opportunity in this session to show that we have learned from what works, that we are prepared to confront what does not, and that we can build a United Nations capable not simply of surviving change, but of shaping change.

So why was this year particularly important? I'm going to give you several reasons.

First, this is a year of three major conflicts that threatened to turn into world wars.

Now, given that they come together every year, leaders are supposed to speak about ideas of peace.

But U.S. President Donald Trump kicked it all off with threats to annihilate Iran.
But I have a big decision to make.
Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before, maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world? Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again?

I come from an Iran in which our esteemed supreme leader was assassinated without any legal framework or reason.
You see these children? These children perished under bombs with weapons used by the United States and Israel.
They were innocent, had committed no crimes.
The more freedom Putin has to act, the more dangerous the world becomes for everyone else.
That is why patient zero must be stopped.
He must be denied the space to act and the space to spread this evil further.

Mais quelle est notre crédibilité si nous continuons de rester inactifs face à Gaza ? Certains se flattent d'une paix prétendue.
