If you’re a Christian working mom who feels burned out, overstimulated, mentally overloaded, and constantly pulled in a hundred directions, this episode is for you. Today we’re talking about…
Something I've heard again and again from listeners in the last week is I feel seen.
And honestly, that means everything to me because so many working moms are walking around carrying this invisible weight and they're exhausted and overstimulated.
Just trying to hold it all together and wondering if anyone else feels the same.
Like, am I just the crazy one? Or is anybody else in the same boat? And the answer is 1000% yes.
Okay.
We are living in a culture that just keeps pushing us toward noise, urgency, and eventually burnout.
And so if that's where you are, I want this episode to meet you there.
And so, you know, by way of distraction, and noise, we are slowly drifting into a place where, you know, our creativity and just self discovery, like just truly analyzing how we think and who we want to become.
is just getting buried.
And our relationship with God is essentially somewhere underneath a pile of like unread notifications and half finished to do lists.
And We don't want to admit we're carrying.
But, you know, I want to plant in your heart today that we are not just busy.
We are in a battle.
And really, the more that I've read my Bible, the more I've realized it to be the blueprint for my life.
And if you've really spent some time there, you know, too, it doesn't pretend life is calm and roses and lovely.
Yeah.
You know, in 1 Peter 5, 8, it says, I remember the first time I heard that verse referenced in a sermon.
It's actually still on a piece of notebook paper ripped from my journal and posted on the side of my kitchen fridge because I wanted my husband and I to see it every day.
And that just, that has always sat with me.
I mean, again, it's been on our fridge for years now.
And occasionally I look up at it and it just reminds me of, of paying attention.
You know, we're just so busy right now.
It gets hard to get focused sometimes.
