Why should our listeners who are listening to this episode, why should they be interested in hearing about PR and why it might be important for their business?

Yeah, it's a great question because I think lots of business owners and entrepreneurs actually overlook PR and a lot of people don't really understand what it is.

Or they think that maybe it's just something for like big corporate organizations or for people who are already really well known and really well established.

And I believe that all entrepreneurs and business owners can really benefit from PR.

at this moment in time um a couple of things really one is that um a lot of people are talking about the fact that we're in a trust recession at the moment trust is at an all-time low and um consumers are taking longer than um previously to make their buying decisions they're doing more research they're being more cautious and um they are really looking for what we call trust signals before they make their purchasing decisions.

They want to really feel like they trust the people and the brands that they're buying from and um pr is something that really gives you um those trust signals it gives you that expert positioning that authority positioning that credibility and especially at the moment where there's so much ai content everywhere like we all see it everywhere like across social media and um i think that people are getting really um just fed up of seeing kind of generic AI content.

And so I think that PR is something that really helps you to stand out because when you see that someone has been featured in a well-known, well-respected publication, It makes them stand out.

And it helps when a consumer is making that decision on, is this a person or a brand that I can trust? It helps them to see that there's someone who knows their stuff.

And then at the same time, you have the fact that more people than ever are using AI search engines to do their research before they're making their purchases.

And the way that AI works, which is really interesting, is that it pulls from earned media when it's making recommendations.

So there was a recent study that showed that 85% of citations on AI search engine comes from earned media, which includes newspaper articles, blogs, online magazine articles, places where You're not just putting content out on your own channels, but you're putting it out on other people's channels.

So I guess because it realizes or it's been trained that anything published that way has been checked.
