Well, thank you so much, Christina, for the opportunity to be here on Witness the Wonder.

And to answer your question, I was this 19-year-old that was fueled 100% by ego and Mountain Dew.

And later in life, my drink of choice changed to Red Bull, but for sure it was just about pride as this guy who was kind of raging against life and raging even against God.

And what I mean by that was my parents put me through Christian based education from first grade through 12th grade.


But there was so much kind of chaos and And tension and angst and anger between my parents and I learned every four letter word there was at the dinner table.

So, you know, we've probably all heard this phraseology of rules without relationship equals rebellion.

And even in the years prior to that, because my parents cared for me, they supported me, but I didn't really have any relationship with them.

So I knew that I was loved by them, but I didn't really have any relationship.

So the discipline that they applied to a real high energy, highly driven kid, I just completely pushed back on.


And ultimately, that puts me into a position as a 19-year-old where I want nothing to do with God, just probably an understatement.

I think it was better said that I was fully rebelling against him, totally doing my thing, and probably at certain points even going so far as to say I really hated God at that period of time.
Yeah, it sounds like you were really actively running from him during that season of your life.
