2027 Election: Nobody Is Going To Say This.

Now, first let me be clear about something.

I don't believe that young people are automatically better leaders.

A young person can be corrupt.

A young person can be foolish.

A young person can enter government with fresh skin and ancient ideas.

In fact, I tell people a new voter is simply an old human being with a new voter's card.

Nigeria is a corrupting environment.

it does not discriminate by age Nigerian government I mean so the problem with Africa is not simply that old people are leading it because Xi Jinping Xi Jinping is in his 70s Donald Trump is 80 Bernie Sanders is 85 and remains one of the freshest voices of America's progressive movements.

Whatever you think of any of them or their politics, their ideas are not stale because of their age.

So the solution is not replacing old people with young people.

The solution is having people of every age, having the courage of their ideas, developing competence and stepping forward to take responsibility.

We need young people in the room because society needs everybody.

in the fullness of who they are.

But somehow, the audacity of many Nigerians have begun to disappear over the past few decades.

Young people keep waiting to be invited.

They keep waiting for one big man or one big woman to notice them.

They keep waiting for destiny helpers.
