England win the series and Pakistan's disastrous tour reaches new levels of chaos

England, they won.

They're doing good winning at the moment.

Down to Ollie Robinson, eight for 35.

The man who'd been away for a year or so is now the attack leader.

Attack leader, three test matches this summer, three Play of the Match awards.

Um, fitted very nicely in with the three 90 mile an hour bowlers.

This was referenced at the press conference last night where Ollie Robinson was sitting next to Joe Root behind the table and looking very pleased with life.

And, and why not? He now looks like an integral part of a, a four-man attack that it'll be interesting to see how they go on flatter pitches abroad, sure.

But looking ahead to the Ashes next summer, it looks like England have a, um, a quartet to work with, put it that way.

I don't think, you know, people have talked about how poor Pakistan were, how helpful the pitch was.

No one else has returned the figures that Robinson has this summer.

Um, he, he's head and shoulders even above his, his teammates.

So I, I'm very pleased for him.

I've, I've thought it's one of the great sadnesses of English cricket over the last two and a half years that we've seen so little of him.

His test average has now dipped below 20, for goodness sake.

First England bowler with 50 plus wickets to do that since Frank Tyson.

... and you go back to SF Barnes for sort of, um, a, a better average and more wickets for England, that...

And he played his last test before the First World War.

So these are hi- kind of historic figures for Robinson.

Okay, he's got 99 wickets, let's see him, let's see him get up to 250 and keep those numbers going.

But so far, sensational stuff from him.
