verygoodshow.org support the boys we appreciate you guys now let's get into the list let's rip the bandaid off here with number 25 and like I said bear with me because there are a lot of factors that went into this but let's see your number 25 is Craig

I'll tell you guys right now I never took anything I took two steps in did the two door kicks and I booked but I have to be honest with you right now from time to time I would think about it and even now today I think about it and you know what I should have stolen some yeah no no not because it's cool to steal or anything like that because I start thinking about that family I think it's like psychologically what I've done to this family

Dane Cook is number 25 say what you want about the man when I was a kid I lost my mind at that bit it was great it's still funny this guy's unbelievable why Dane Cook at number 25 you ask guys do I think he's one of the 25 funniest stand-up comedians of the century no I wouldn't say that I do think his influence far exceeds even a lot of other guys on this list where Dane Cook changed comedy in a lot of ways and you see all these arena acts now उसके बारे में एरा के लिए उसके बारे में एरा के लिए उसके बारे में एरा के लिए but he taught comedians how to promote themselves without using the industry and that did lead to podcasting and Instagram and TikTok and all of these being outlets for people to get their stuff out there without the gatekeeping being necessary you don't have to get on well now it would be Netflix but you don't have to get on you know Comedy Central Comedy Central doesn't exist because of guys like Dane Cook Comedy Central just died because people were able to do it on their own they didn't need uh these gatekeepers I also do think you know I said I don't necessarily think he's one of the funniest uh they're guys funnier like Nick DiPaolo is a much funnier comedian than Dane Cook I don't I think that's objective not subjective but I think if you look at Dane Cook's body of work there is like a lot of funny stuff in there and people would give him shit for his delivery and his energy and it's like oh it was all energy he was selling everything well it is a performance you know a lot of you can be Todd Berry who was another name I considered and be very deadpan and just say your jokes and have them be funny but like there is a performance element to it like look at what Chris Rock does that's the one I knew it Craig it's funny you say that see how it comes up naturally क्योंकि क्रिस रॉक के लिए क्रिस रॉक के लिए क्रिस रॉक के लिए क्रिस रॉक के and so guys like that I discounted and joking aside you can even make an argument for like Jerry Seinfeld being on this list but like those guys I consider Jerry and Chris Rock of the 90s if we do a 90s list you bet your bippy those guys will be on it I will say obviously I'm a Dane Cook defender I don't have a

problem with this spot and maybe with some of the other names I would have swapped out but if this was top 25 comics of the 20 2000 to 2010 he'd be like top 5. the last 15 years he's been a ghost true true and and i'm not against the

argument of even taking him off but i wanted him on there because i do think his influence really did matter to comedy and i think it is so overblown how unfunny he is oh yeah he's changed he honestly

changed the game for better like you said for better worse

yeah it's just to say Dane Cook is unfunny or untalented it's just untrue the worst thing

he did was make Burke Chrysler the way he is yeah and there's a

lot of guys that um I'm trying to think of how to frame this.

Like, I went through this with Matt Rife.

Boy, I meant to keep this episode short and I can tell it's not going to be.

We'll

get a groove.

We're getting them all out of

the system now.

I wanted to, I went through this with Matt Rife where like Matt Rife's popularity annoyed me.

and i'm like he's just a handsome guy it's girls going to his show because he's handsome we went through this in real time on the blind mic yeah and then eventually i was like this is not matt rife's fault no like he's he's he's sort of funny he's not for me at all but like he's not an untalented guy you know there's an audience for what he's doing and i'm punishing him because uh i think you know joe list should be more famous than matt rife you know like you take your guys that you like और आप कहते हैं क्योंकि ही फोली बहुत ज़्यादारी नहीं है कि मैट राइफ

के लिए मैं बहुत ज़्यादारी नहीं हूं क्योंकि मैट राइफ के लिए मैट राइफ के

yes yeah and that's and that's what dane cook was as well it's a it's a gateway drug to comedy where because of guys like dane cook my generation found other people you found like if you were searching dane cook on youtube around that time like in the early days of youtube you would find opie and anthony and uh you know tough crowd clips and stuff like that like he was adjacent enough to that world to usher in a new era of fans so all the hate is

just strictly from jealousy he's funny like you could say it's hack and stuff and it's only considered hack because everyone did it after

him orgasm is also a big influence on look at what people do now with just filming all their stuff from their tour that's what tourgasm was

yeah exactly

he's not on the list we can nix him too by the way he's not on the list it's not even honorable सब्सक्राइब सब्सक्राइब

i know i always used to watch him on the telly as a kid and i always used to think to myself ah i bet he doesn't rape but i've been wrong before and i'll be wrong again because it turns out that his favorite thing is rape he loves raping people now think about your favorite thing you might be into sports gardening golf i don't know what the you're into now think about it now replace it with rape and that's how Bill Cosby feels all day every day now I did this routine in Australia and they wrote a very horrible review of the show and I hate that people forget that I'm a comedian and that I'm joking but I have to do this little public service announcement before I do this routine i believe in many ways rape is wrong i
