In this episode, Mike and Peter comment on Trump's latest LA/San Diego faux pas. Michael Fragomeni earned his Bachelor of Arts in History (Magna Cum Laude) and his PhD in Germanic Linguistics both…
And he justified it by saying, as he's been saying for a while now, which is Not true, it's a lie, but given the benefit of the doubt for the moment, that he has obliterated...
What he means is the amount of money that we've already spent on this war is a small price to pay to not let them have a nuke.
Now, in the process of saying this, now he's been more or less saying that for a while, but in this particular speech, as Trump does when he riffs, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's like, it just goes to show that he doesn't even know what he's talking about.
It's ironic that for all of those years, ever since 1979, that it was always the fanatical Muslims, fundamentalists who would chant death to America, death to America.
Just to clarify here, it's not like when he said he was directly calling to the Russians and saying, if you have Hillary's emails, you know, it wasn't quite that bad.
What he said was in the context of it's a small price to pay to prevent Iran from doing that.
It's a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe.
They can take out a city.
Let them take out Los Angeles.
And he seemed to get a nice little jolt, you know, a little bump of happiness in just being able to say that like, oh, wouldn't it be great if LA was wiped off the face of the earth? That would just make life so much easier for me these midterms coming up so so i'm just trying to be fair in the sense that i don't believe that he ever advocated for the destruction of an american city but i am saying that his speech is still reckless where it literally sounds like it's a small price to pay like iran if you want to bomb la that's a small price for us americans to pay to then have an excuse to completely obliterate your country.
