The Apple Pippin

So the year is 1996 and Apple and Bandai released a strange little machine, but with a very cute name called the Pippin.

Yes.

Basically, it ran... a kind of cut down version of what the Mac OS was at the time.

But it was just very, very weird and seemed to want to be a bit of everything.

And that was the problem.

Oh no. Yeah.

Okay.

So it was trying to appease too many markets.

I'm thinking back to 1996.

So this would have been Nintendo 64 era.

And PlayStation era as well.

Joss, especially if you're in Japan.

This is a time where we are starting to see quite a revolution in gaming consoles because we've gone from cartridges to discs.

Yes.

Graphics are

improving a little bit.

Yeah.

I'm remembering where we are.

Your head's in the game.

I know where I'm at.

It's the mid-90s.

You're like, I know what Apple is trying to do.
