A Delta Airlines passenger stole an airport tug and drove it around the tarmac until he crashed.
This took place at the John Wayne Airport, which is the airport I just flew in and out of.
It's a very cute airport, very small and navigatable.
Is that a word, navigatable? Easily navigated? Navigable.
[chuckles] I like my airports small and navigatable.
I like my breasts extremely large and unnavigable.
I like them so big I need a compass and a map to get around.
[laughs] Am I s- am I sharing too much? All right, let's break down what happened.
It sounds like some shenanigans on the tarmac.
A Delta Airlines passenger was arrested after allegedly breaching security at the John Wayne Airport, stealing an airline tug, and crashing it into another vehicle in the middle of the airfield.
Well, look, guys, in his defense, it's not easy to get from terminal to terminal sometimes, you know? And, and, and you...
If you got a connecting flight and your first flight is delayed, like, you're kinda screwed.
You gotta get to the terminal fast.
You gotta get to that plane as quickly as possible so that you don't miss that second flight.
And, you know, sometimes you just gotta take it upon yourself to steal an airport tug.
[laughs] If I'm being honest, I never even knew they were called airport tugs, but I, I can understand why.
They, they tug things around, you know, like the luggage carts and whatnot.
This incident happened at about 5:30 PM when the passenger allegedly entered the airfield through gate 12, took an Alaska Airlines tug, and drove it before crashing into a vehicle near gate 7.
How the heck did he just get onto the airfield? Airport officials said the passenger then tried to take an American Airlines lavatory truck before being stopped by the airport police services.
[laughs] This guy wants to try out all the, the airfield vehicles.
Ooh, what is that? A lavatory truck? Cool.
Ooh, we got a tug over here.
Thank goodness you stopped him before he took a very small plane and then moved up to the bigger plane.
According to airport officials, this passenger was scheduled to fly from Orange County to Seattle aboard a Delta flight and was taken into custody after the incident.
