write bars all the time but i still write bars but like i do like freestyle like pretty often you know like so she went like you're just like with with dogs put a beat on you know there's

going on it's like they'll play a beat i guess like producers are doing this and then they put words for you to rhyme and it's like oh test yourself like see if you could rhyme these words for the next minute and like It's actually pretty fun.

I'll be in my room, Dolo, just spitting hot fire, you know? Or at least what I perceive to be hot.

Yeah, like back in the day, you used to think of flows, but now you're thinking of thumbnails.
And like when things are like, like I used to go to the shows or not even shows, just like clubs and stuff like that.
I used to go to like the club and stuff and I would hear beats and stuff, just like whatever the new song that's out and I'd get inspired.
And then, you know, but I'm driving home and I'm writing in the car, like doing dangerous things.
You know what I'm saying? Like just to get these thoughts out, like, I don't have none of that in me anymore.

It's funny because when you said, oh, the rhyming bug left my body, fam, I just started instantly putting beer rhymes to that.
And it's kind of weird because when I was rapping, I thought like that was the end all be all.
I'm rapping because I actually love rap and I love hip hop for the culture.

So only because like sometimes I would just like hear a beat and the beat is just so crazy.

I might not even finish the verse, but I'll start to think of like, yo, this is how I would have approached the beat.
No, straight up, you know, like, um, Like in the superhero, in the comic books and stuff like that, like when people have their different superpowers and then all of a sudden they just become like human.
You know what I'm saying? I guess I acquired a different superpower, but that superpower is just gone, fam.

So what's stopping you Friday? Honestly, are you worried that people are going to like roast it or is it just like...
No, fam, I think that if I don't do it to the standards where I felt like I was at before, because fam, I used to put out albums and mixtapes and stuff like that and curate... how I want it to sound and all that.

And I'm not sure if you're the same way, but me, how I am sometimes is, like, I only like to do things where I know I will either, like, super excel at or I know, like, I'll be well-received.

So, like, you're probably like, oh, I know if I put a rap out, there's a certain group that are going to diss it no matter what I do.
fam I'm not even worried about that no matter what I do I'm worried about it being like I'm listening to it like later on like a year later and I'm like cringe I thought it was hot at the time but now it's cringe like it has to be like undeniably fire like yo i didn't know he could rap like that and i don't know if i could rap like that

i think you already put your 10 000 hours like if we all just selected a beat and just dedicated ourselves to writing a 16 per person you'd be able to come up with something that's like good enough like
that's an interesting theory right there the 10 000 hours because yes i did put my 10 000 hours i probably put 20 000 hours into the rap game But if you put 10,000 hours into something and then you stop doing it, I haven't rapped since 2017.

I think that's kind of the whole point is like there's some aspect of muscle memory that is activated.

And I'm not saying like, oh, because you put 10,000 hours into something, you're going to be good at it because you could put 10,000 hours into something and be shit, you know, but you're going to know what to do.

I'm going to fill in the words and I'm going to find the rhymes here, flows here, switch it up, whatever.

it probably wouldn't be that difficult i think it would be like riding a bike like there are certain things that like for example like fifa like i played so much fifa and i don't play fifa now i haven't played it in a while

but now if i play like a new fifa like it might take a little adjustment because sometimes there's new controls but everything else is like muscle memory like i still know how to play yeah you know yeah like starting from scratch where i'm like how do you pass
Like, fam, I've recorded freestyles in the studio of people rapping after interviews or during interviews and stuff like that.
This is where the insecurity comes in, and we'll get to some pre-topics or whatever, but I like this conversation here.
There's a percentage of the audience that are like, yo, when you used to rap, your shit was trash.

And I feel like those guys are not going to receive it the same way your peers received it 10 years ago.

You know what I'm saying? It's going to be like, oh, shoot, you can rap, bro? I didn't even know you rapped, bro.

It's going to be like that, you know, because you have a whole new audience that you can kind of cater to.

i think you're on some oh it has to be perfect it has to be the best blah blah blah but i feel like you should approach it as just like another piece of content like oh this is not a song i'm dropping to go number one on billboard instead of like oh i just had a vibe so like this is just some bars for the day i want you guys to watch this piece of content for the day and like if you guys never visit again like that's fine
yeah yeah you know who i rate um and um You guys know Rich Noir? He used to do the Cash Feelings channel and the Cash Feelings clothing line and stuff like that, right? He used to, especially when he was heavily making content, he used to just pop off on Instagram with a crazy freestyle like every two, three weeks sometimes.

It could be us talking like this, and all of a sudden, the camera changes, the beat changes, and you're just rapping.
I'm not even trying to call it like that because that puts more pressure on it.

You know those Marvel movies where it's like, oh, Captain America will return.
fam, like, I don't know if we're having like a therapy session right now, but like just for me to just say yes.
Cause I'm like, do I want to put a commitment into rapping again? It's just one track.

You know what I mean? It's not like he's livestreaming for six hours like, oh, this is my life.
the way that it sounded on the beat that I have running through the live stream.
When you rap and you make the commitment of rapping on a beat and now I'm presenting it to the world, people can say, I like it or...

I'm playing other people's tracks, you know, like I already am so like skilled at what I do.

And like I'm behind the DJ boards is like a barrier between me and the audience.

layers of protection but like when you're on that stage and the light's just on you these are words that are coming from your brain your soul this is your expression you're putting it out to the world and the world has to receive it like maybe the way you want them to receive it like they might not like Somebody

Like, you know what I mean? Like, bro, it's a different level of, like, vulnerability to me.

Yeah, you are a little more isolated, whereas, like, what you do with the live stream, like, the celebrity aspect helps, the chat helps.
Yeah, and what are you going to do? Oh, I didn't like your take, so you didn't like my opinion? Like, all right, so what? What do you think about my opinion on the Dirk stuff now? Like, it's not that much...

Like obviously they're trying to do their best, but like they understand that it's content at the end of the day.

Like I feel like, like you said, like, yeah, like that will remove the pressure because I feel like you're approaching it as an MC.

Like you got to like remind them, you know, whereas like this is almost like, you almost just have to be like, yo, I just want to show like them that I can rap and make it clever.

Even if you just have it that simple, like I feel like that removes a lot of the pressure because like you could go outside of the lines now.
when you do too much off-the-head freestyles, you might, like, bump into some gay bars.
What were you thinking when you wrote that? It's a Richard Pryor joke that he tried to bring into rap.
But Richard Pryor also talked about doing a lot of wild shit while smoking crack.
So I don't know if the Richard Pryor joke translates well on the gangster rapper's song.
