Do you ever feel like society is dictating the rules of your relationship?
Why do we feel like wanting more for our relationship is wrong?
If these questions sound familiar, you're not alone.
This podcast contains explicit language and is intended for mature audiences.
We are a longtime married couple sharing our personal-
But not professional
... adventures as we navigate the world of ethical non-monogamy.
Care to join us?
[singing] Me and Mr. Jones, we got a thing.
Yeah, we're both down.
We like to party with the crowd that flips their pineapples around.
Sexy playtime fun with others, a partnership so tight.
Sharing our desires freely as we play into the night.
We got a thing.
Me and Mr. Jones, we got a thing going on.
We got a thing.
We got a thing.
This ain't a fling.
Me and Mr. Jones.
Yeah.
We got a thing.
[instrumental music]
Hello, everyone.
I am Mr. Jones, and you are going to understand that this podcast is a little bit different than what you normally hear because normally you would hear Mrs. Jones chime in right now and say that she's here with me and that we are recording episode number one sixty of the We Got a Thing podcast, and this podcast is gonna be a little bit different for more than just that reason.
Um, we typically don't stray from our format of, uh, what you all are used to in our origin stories and our topical discussions between the two of us.
Uh, but Mrs. Jones and I are about ready to go out of the country for a few weeks and, uh, wanted to leave you something to listen to while we were gone until we get-- can get back and catch you up on everything that's been going on with our regular format.
So today, uh, I'm gonna introduce a few folks to you in just a second.
But about a month ago, [lips smack] um, I was sent a copy of a documentary.
A few months ago, sent a copy of a documentary.
I get a lot of these requests, uh, you know, uh, during the week, and most of them are form letters and, and I just delete without reading them.
And some of them are, are, are...
You can tell that they're, they're just mass-produced and they're sent out and they want us to be involved in things.
And for the most part, if somebody hasn't taken the time to say, "We know who you are, we know what your podcast is about, this is what we do, and this is how we think it'll fit," if they don't offer up that kind of information at first, I really don't spend a lot of time thinking about it.
But, uh, you all did send me a copy of this documentary and requested I take a look at it, and I did, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Uh, we've been-
Yeah
... doing-- We've been in this kind of business for about twelve years and, um, s- seen and heard a lot.
And so when I saw what you all were presenting, I thought this would be really a good way to promote a lot of the things that Mrs. Jones and I are trying to promote and others who are trying to normalize a lifestyle, uh, an, a traditional lifestyle or the non-monogamous lifestyle or whatever you wanna call it.
So today I have with me, uh, three folks, Dylan, Kama, and Urvashi, uh, all had some sort of a role, and I'll let them introduce themselves in just a moment, to produce the More Than Monogamy, uh, documentary, uh, that we are going to be talking about today and hopefully give you a chance to learn about and then possibly listen to.
Uh, so what I'm gonna do, um, Dylan, I'm gonna turn it over to you first, if you don't mind-
Of course
... introducing yourself, what your background is, what your role was in the documentary, and maybe a little bit about yourself personally.
