30th August 2026 (pm) - Luke 2:21 - 40

It's only recorded in the Gospel of Luke.

The other three Gospels don't even know their names.

It didn't seem to matter.

But to God, they did.

So Jesus never spoke to them.

They didn't hear Jesus speak.

They didn't see Jesus do any miracles.

A lot of the things that convinced the other disciples that, hey, maybe this is the Son of God, were not true of them.

They didn't see any of that.

Jesus didn't start his public ministry for another 30 years after that.

And by then, I'm guessing both of these had pegged it.

They didn't see that.

So by faith they had seen something.

What can we learn from what Simeon and Anna said and from the way that they lived? So part A, first of all, what they said.
