EP 3 | Amichai Lourie and Shiloh Winery Part 1

And I'm so glad that you just took us into the aspect of the land, because as you know, our podcast is called Vintage Land.

So what are we trying to bring to the forefront? We are talking about a land that has purpose, that has meaning, that has prophetic significance, historically and in the now, right? This is not just a place where you can come and see history.

This is a land, the land of Israel that was talked about all throughout the Bible, not just in the past, but that in a day, in a particular day and age, that people would come back to this land, that God would put his people, of which you are one of those, back in the land of Israel.

And you get to come back to a really specific place out of all the wineries in Israel, where you're located in ancient Shiloh.

For anyone that doesn't realize that, how significant that is.

I mean, you were just alluding to a minute ago.

This is, for me, I'm going to talk about it.

I'm going to geek out a little bit, okay? When I think of places in Israel that I like to go to see archaeological sites or to understand the history, this is the number one place that I come and the number one place that I send people to.

Why? This is one of the only places that you can prove with archaeological evidence that it is what it says it is, right? And that's a whole thing we can go into.

Actually, I'll share that really quickly.

So they have the ancient site not too far from here.

Archaeology site.

Quarter

of a mile from here.

And in that site, they have the outline of where the tabernacle stood.

You can see the border stones of where it stood.

But what was really the dead giveaway, as we say, for knowing that this was the spot is...

On all of the hills surrounding that spot, you've got pottery covering the insides of those hills.

Looking at that spot.

Layers and layers and layers.

Hundreds of years of layers.

Millions of

pieces, right? Millions of pieces of pottery.

And now, why is that important? Okay, pottery, you know, that's great.

There's pottery all over the land.
