[gentle music] Let's talk time, right? Um, you know, one way I like to describe time, and a lot of people talk about time as the fourth dimension.

We've got space, uh, as the third dimension, and then we've got time as the fourth dimension.

Tomorrow at 5:00, we'll meet up." And they act like 5:00 tomorrow hasn't happened yet.

If you understand basic mathematics, when you talk about space, when you say, "Hey, I'm in Indiranagar right now and I'm going to Koramangala in the evening," both Indiranagar as well as Koramangala exist, right? You're just taking a bus or a car to get there.

That, that map is already out there, um, which is also the reason I don't beli- believe in free will.

This, this particular branch of the universe, it's gonna pan out that that information is already there, right? We, we can't...

Um, there's this really interesting sci-fi story called, uh, The Story of Yourself and Others.

And it was about these alien creatures that already know when something is about to happen, and because of that, they invent a new language, a language that is symmetrical.

You know, they write both from the left as well as the right at the same time because they know where the sentences will end.

You can't actually write a sentence from, with your left hand and your right hand at the same time, you know that? Even if you know the entire sentence, because you don't know where the midpoint will be.

But these aliens, they could perfectly predict where the middle of the sentence would be, so they'd leave enough space on the left and the right and when they're writing a sentence.
