This week on the Unhinged Country Podcast, Moggzy is flying solo while Lucy lives it up at the Luke Combs gig in Amsterdam and holidays in Dubai! In this jam-packed episode, Moggzy recaps the…
Rhodia ReidHostStarting with my UK artist that's going to be Susannah Clegg with her new song that comes out on the 17th of July called Prospect Street.
Now Susannah's very, very old school country.
She... is i'd say traditional is probably a good word to use um she has one hell of a old school voice um a hell of a projection and she's just so talented she's definitely someone to go and check out on the socials and you know, get to know her music because I think she's going to be a very big thing in the coming years.
And she's also one of two artists that are coming with me to Germany in August for the Dusty Boots Festival.
That's a new festival just starting up.
it's going to be a hybrid line dancing and music festival so they are doing it for the first year this year and it's being run by some really lovely women uh led by a lady called kim they're gonna have stalls they're gonna have country wear shops um and then they're gonna have a mix of live artists from the UK and America and Europe as well as line dancing sessions all the way through the day and then they're going to finish it off each evening with a after party with a country DJ so That is going to be a lot of fun and I'm glad that Susannah and Zoe are coming over with me for it.
So moving on to my US artist of the week, I'm going a bit more alternative with this one for Lakeview's new song with The Ghost Inside called Kill Me Thirst.
Now, I heard this a couple of days ago and it's been on repeat pretty much since.
It's very much about being who you are, not... changing for people and you know being something you're not just to appease people in your life and i very much you know like that that message um i think it's the way you should be i don't think you should be changing for others and you should just be your authentic self so yeah i really really enjoy it i think it's got A real, like, heavy metal, but still has that country essence of storytelling and just being real and being your genuine self here.
And as well as my picks, as Lucy's not here, I have asked Rhodia Reid, who is one of our good pals, to... send over a couple pics for herself, so I will pass over to her.
