Episode 246 - Companies opting out of Tokenization?

So one of the big things that did happen is Patrick Whit did announce his departure from the White House.

His interim term ended on the 14th of October last week.

So he is now leaving.

They don't have a person that is gonna fill his seat yet for the digital asset executive director role.

Not that much has been kind of going on there, especially with the Clarity Act being installed, and now the SEC and the CFTC kind of making all the rules.

Speaking of which, they have been pushing a lot of the tokenization type of stories moving forward, and what we're seeing is there's a lot of public companies that are objecting to this, OKX and the international exchange tokenized stock plans.

So Broadcom, Verizon, and others have formally objected to having their shares traded in a tokenized form under this new venue that the SEC's innovation exemption is gonna allow.

I think NASDAQ has even separately indicated they would opt out of the framework.

So everybody's worried about what it means to have your shares tokenized and what that will do to the price.
