So coming back to Karla Bosa, her family farm has about 70 hectares of coffee in El Salvador.

She was somebody who wanted to find new buyers without traveling, so her strategy is something I think most of us would try first.

What difference can these troops actually make in your estimation?

Well, countries from the region have sent small contingents as El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, but countries that have a history of participation in peacekeeping efforts are also, of course, stepping up for this task as Chad, Mongolia, Sri Lanka that have already deployed personnel and other countries as Ivory Coast and Bangladesh that should deploy soon.

Most of these countries have contributed personnel for peacekeeping efforts, which is different from the mission that they will have to undertake in Haiti.

The Secretary General was opposed to having a UN peacekeeping mission again in Haiti because he said there is no peace to keep.

And I remember like many of us were reading Perestroika and talking about glasnost and trying to think about what does this really even mean for communist parties in the Arab world? What does it mean for communist parties elsewhere? Talking to the communist party in South Africa and other, like thinking, and we had the big meeting with Shafiq Handal, from El Salvador when he came to New York to kind of like, okay, so what does really this mean and so on? And where is China and the Communist Party of China is at? Because there are, I mean, there are some people who are involved, do not only worry about whatever the unipolar and what the imperialists want.

And all of these things, we had a lot of the time, we weren't even able to discuss as much as we want to, given also the nature of imperialism and racism of imperialism that does not even allow us to discuss with our, let's say, allies, our comrades, in Euro-communism, in U.S. communism, and so in the left, in European and northern, global north countries.

So all of these things, and 9-11 comes in, and basically gives more fire and more support to eliminating or erasure of these very important conversations that maybe we are at the center of those conversations.

But I spent a lot of time in Central America and I thought it was crappy.

But I would like to go to El Salvador and check it out.

I heard it's changed anywhere where I think that you can go and arbitrage your knowledge or your capital.

If I can live in a country where I can convert currency to a deval, you see what I'm saying? And you're not treated as a citizen there.

I mean, when we were little in El Salvador, we would go and play, but the... difference is, you know, the outside for us was the school, the outdoors, the, you know, we, we lived in a very big property.

So my cousins lived across the, the basketball courts and they would come over and we would play outside.

El Salvador is going through a price increase because of Bitcoin.

And then Costa Rica is already just too expensive.

So, yeah, those are close enough, but not too far away.

You know, they might

even show up to El Salvador for a little event and you can kind of pick up on the clues around it, but they're not like, you know, shouting around about Bitcoin from the rooftops exactly too.

And I think an important piece of that too, you know, I don't care so much about this idea, but I think it's important to keep in mind for us that are deeper in the Bitcoin space is like, you know, there's the meme that I've seen a bit of people being like, you got to remember that the way you think about like XRP, like crypto bros is the way like average people think about Bitcoiners.

You know what I mean? Or like, you know, I was, uh, I won't get into the specifics.
