From PCOS to PMOS: What Lea Michele’s Story Teaches Us

Well, first, I just came back from a conference because I was presenting our patient that we worked together

on.

Okay, so went to Lexington, Kentucky, and I got to present a case where Our patient had tried 14 normal embryos before finally having her miracle baby on the 15th embryo.

This is crazy.

This poor patient, she had gone to three clinics total and had just tried everything.

And her other doctors were recommending that she use a surrogate.

And honestly, we were too.

We're like, it's definitely reasonable at this point.

But she didn't want to give up.

And so she said, I want to do all the crazy testing available.

So- We did testing.

We ultimately found an immune issue that was causing problems and we gave her the treatment and she ended up having a baby.

And so we felt it was really important.

We've got to share her story and raise awareness about what she has going on so that nobody ever has to try that many times again.

And so we got to present it and it was well received.

And our next step is we're going to submit it for publication.

And then we're going to be presenting a bigger case series of our other patients who've had similar success as well.

So incredible.

So Dr. Reed has really carved out this niche for herself in reproductive immunology.

And I mean, this is really interesting.

And I think just such a testament to, you know, human strength.
