Now, I kind of teased this at the end of last week's episode, but this book that we're talking about today, Crime in the Queen's Court, is set at this medieval, like, Elizabethan-themed festival in River Heights.
And I mean, I think that this time period in general can be romanticized a little bit.
Because if you really get down to it, people didn't bathe very much.
And dental hygiene was questionable.
But I don't know what it is about this time period that I'm drawn to.
Maybe it's the clothing.
But I was so excited for this book.
So this book is 112 in the series and it first was published in 1993.
Coincidence? I think not.
Hey, I bet.
What are you in for? Jaywalking.
I freaking love that movie.
So many good quotes.
I also, side note, find it so fascinating how certain time periods come back into popularity, like the medieval times.
I know the 1920s saw a resurgence a few years ago.
You just wonder why that is.
Is it because we're dealing with certain themes that remind us of that time period? Similarities in history? Anyways, let's talk about this book cover because it is fantastic.
This is the only book cover that I was able to find for this book, and I can see why.
There's no notes.
Like, they killed it with this cover, and I don't think they could have done it any better.
So there's a tagline on here, and it says, History rides into River Heights, and Nancy's dressed for danger.
