This is called Bukkyō, which is the, the title of the section, which just means Buddhist teachings.

And I believe the reason that is the title is it bego- it begos- it goes through the width and the depth and the history of, uh, various Buddhist teachings.

Beginning with the, the first verse: "The s- three vehicles spoke golden words one after another.

But the Buddhas of the past, present, and future only declare the same thing." The three vehicles, uh, can have a couple of, uh, interpretations, but, uh, it can mean, for example, the original, uh, hearers who are there to hear the Buddha's words and other, shall we say, more solo practitioners, and then later traditions which, uh, became, uh, like the Mahāyāna or it can mean ...

It basically means all the different schools of Buddhism here; all the different ways to practice.

As you saw, I went to visit my wife's family, uh, uh, the other week, and they are Nichiren Buddhists who herald the name of the Lotus Sutra; that is their way.

Different strokes for di- different folks, I think is the way you would say this.

At the heart of all the differences, I never say that my way is the right way for everybody.

My way is the right way for me and you silly folks who have decided to be here too.

You may be here, uh, for, uh, a year or two, uh, or- Even, uh, hopefully longer than a few days, and you might decide, well, no, I- I'm gonna try something else.
