Oct 10, 2026 · 1 hr 42 min · 12 segments
Thank you for downloading the Trap One Podcast. This week Hannah, Melvin, Chris and Mark re-unite to cover the next three instalments of Circuit Breaker: *Don't Blink*, *The Doctor and the Three…
So the first thing we're talking about tonight is a short story, which is available on the BBC Doctor Who website for free by Esme Jakimi Pearson, who is the sort of showrunner of Circuit Breaker.
And that's called Don't Blink.
If you'd like to introduce that, Chris.
Yeah, Don't Blink has absolutely restored my faith in this series.
I don't know if you heard the last one, we were talking about the game that potentially we didn't like so much and I was feeling a little bit jaded.
This has galvanised my love for this whole series again.
I fell in love with Don't Blink just because I enjoyed it so much.
So again, it's set in the Unit Black Archive.
Again, dangerous artefacts are being pulled out of time and space, part of the circuit breaker phenomenon.
And Osgood has discovered that the fugitive...
Or other Swedish stores are available, but that was where they were sort of doing this.
The shielding system has been deliberately damaged, leading her to suspect someone inside the unit may be responsible.
Concerned about another artefact, the Carrionite crystal ball, Osgood calls in one of my all-time favourite companions, Martha Jones, whose previous experience with the Carrionites have made her a valuable ally.
At the same time, there is Weeping Angels, hence the title.
And they are also in the Black Archive.
The angel has been corrupted by an unusual temporal energy, making even more dangerous than normal.
And the Doctor, Osgood and Martha investigate.
As I said, I really enjoyed this.
There was even a little quiz to see if you're paying attention before you can get to the main bulk of the story.
again absolutely um fantastic i sort of watched this sorry i read this slowly but i i really felt i was captivated and then it was like i want to know what happens next then i had a quiz to solve before i could do it so i felt there was an achievement before i got to the actual story but i don't know if you can tell i genuinely i i'm i've got a beaming smile on my face this i loved really did and Even the awful Andrew, his characterization seems to have some sort of either a red herring or it just, it seems to fit now.
There is something sort of going on.
We don't know quite what it is.
And I think it was the way that she got to react with the fugitive doctor and the fugitive doctor got to act with her.
