I know you did the Rangers on radio forever, and I want to ask you about hockey on radio versus TV, but let's stick with just TV.
radio versus TV is a whole different story, and hockey is really the one where I went back and forth.
I've done a few radio games here and there, football, basketball, baseball, but it's mostly been TV.
And I get this question all the time from high school and college broadcasting students.
To me personally, and people think I'm crazy, but to me personally, hockey is the easiest, maybe because I've been doing it for the longest, 36 years, but the puck's in action for the entire 60 minutes.
You're describing the game, not speaking as much on TV as radio, like you referenced, but The puck's in action the entire time.
Quick wrap up analyst comes in and then it's rinse repeat for the rest of the game.
Baseball to me was always the most challenging because I didn't do it as much.
And there was so much downtime in between pitches, in between batters, the balls only in play for like eight to 11 minutes in a baseball game.
It feels a little more like hockey or basketball because of the pace with the pitch clock.
