The Steelers...
Did win the ASC North last year.
But I won and done.
Saw, obviously, Mike Tomlin, I think, realise that, you know, he's taken him as far as he can, right? It kind of felt like that.
A few players, obviously, shot off the back of it.
But new regime, although Aaron Rodgers returns again... wrongly or rightly, he's back, but I feel like they're missing a chance here with Will Howard potentially, and they've obviously gone and drafted another QB as well at this point.
Do you see them running it back? Do you see them becoming AFC North champs again?
No.
Look.
No. It's not going to happen.
Mike Tomlin is the reason that they never had a losing record, right? He's a great coach, a great player coach.
I think he realised, you know what? He got a lot of criticism from Steelers fans about, yeah, okay, we have winning seasons and we make the playoffs, but we don't win playoff games.
Sometimes the grass isn't always greener.
Like, maybe winning the division every now and then and making the playoffs and never having a losing season is not great when you're living in it and you want titles and you're the Pittsburgh Steelers and you think you're entitled to them.
But when he's gone and you can't buy a winning season and there's still no playoff wins, how long is it going to take for the Steelers fans to go? Do you know what? I wish we were still in the good old days.
There's Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow, two of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL, in the division.
They've had their own problems, their own issues with injury or team building or bad coaching, but they're not going to be dormant forever.
It seems like when one of them has a good season, the other one doesn't.
Or like last season, they both had poor seasons.
Eventually, there's going to be a season where the Bengals and the Ravens both play up to their pre-season expectations and the Steelers are left on the outside looking in.
And I worry for the Steelers that this year, the first year without Mike Tomlin, a retirement tour for Aaron Rodgers, that this could be the year that that happens.
What about where, Daisy, where do you see it? Do you think they can run it back? I mean, the other teams didn't even make the playoffs last year, so do you think they've still got a chance?
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing.
Like, the whole...
