And I don't, I don't think I've ever spoke about this publicly, and that's just because no one's ever asked, really.

But throughout my life there's been people very close to me, like family members and friends that have taken their own life, and as awful as it's been to receive that news and things like that, I think because...

And it's not that I use the gym as an escapism or anything like that, or I know the gym isn't therapy, but it's somewhere to process.

I used to go to a 24-hour gym, and I've been there at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning or something, and just like be mid- midway through a set, 'cause it, it's just a release of emotion and endorphins and just like breaking down in the gym.

And yeah, if there's ever been times where you've been super low, I'm like, "I know there's a constant in my life there somewhere."

And the disciplines and character traits that I've built have just allowed me to keep this calm sense of almost my own little safety, I guess.
Um, my, my brother took his own life in 2015, and from that day I went on a downward spiral.
When I talk about habits, I went down the wrong habits of drinking, going out every weekend, not looking after myself.
And it was kinda came to a point where I looked at myself in the mirror and I said, "You know, I can't control what's happened.
I can't do anything about that, you know? But what I can control is the things that I do today-
... and the choices that I make moving forward." And that's why, the same as you, mate, exercise, but more specifically the gym, has been the same place for me.
And my wife has said, you know, since having our baby four weeks ago, she's always been very, uh, encouraging of the fact that I still need to go out the gym, and I still need to exercise, 'cause she knows how important it is, not just for my physical health, but just more so for my mental health.
And I think people underestimate the power of how important it is for, for our mental health, you know, for various different reasons.
