Andrew LubyHostPat MurphyHostBack this morning from 9:00.
How are you doing, Andrew?
Yep, not bad.

When's the last time, uh, can you remember that you've seen a deer on the road when you've been driving? For me, it was ages and ages and ages ago.
Yeah, it's been quite a while for me as well.

So this morning, uh, first time, uh, came across, uh, a deer just running across the road, which is nice to see.

And then the first story I looked at this morning when I came in, it said that drivers in rural areas are being warned to be extra vigilant, uh, for deer on the roads as stags are on the lookout for love.

Uh, the Irish Deer Commission, uh, says the breeding season leads to an increase in road traffic incidents involving the animals as males go on the search of females.

And, uh, like, I really noticed it this morning 'cause it made me think, "When's the last time I'd seen a deer?" And then I get this story, which is quite bizarre.

It's a serious story, but farmers and people, uh, who live in rural areas are being advised to keep a safe distance if they encounter wild male deer.
Oh, you do.
Yeah.
