Sep 23, 2026 · 1 hr · 21 segments
Formerly known as Till the Dirt, this podcast is entering a whole new chapter — and MJ is taking you with her. In this first episode of NEW SZN with MJ, MJ opens up about where she’s been, settling…
You know, since, since it's been a while since we've been here, um, last year, toward the end of the year, Tommy and I had no choice but to separate.
We spent about a month and a half getting acclimated into our new homes, moving out of the family home where, you know, Shams was for a majority of his life, six, six plus years.
His first [laughs] first six months, we lived in the Hollywood Hills in that sick glass house, m- post, um, excuse me, the mid-century modern with the polished concrete floors and the walls of glass, and that was the house that we did, uh, Shahs of Sunset, and oh my God, like, I got married in that house.
I did a lot of healing and a lot of celebrating of beautiful things in that house, um, the one that we moved out of once Shams was six months old.
And then I had this vision board, and I made it to be married with children in Calabasas.
So long story short, short story long, last year was when Tommy and I moved out of a family home that we were in for about six years.
I'm, like, complete utter shock and, like, gratitude that I was able to do this.
This is a really, really big deal, and I'm looking out the window from my studio right now in complete and utter awe of this new fresh start.
But I think that Tommy and I fall into a very rare category of separated people.
I would like to really genuinely hear about your stories of breakups or redefining a relationship, a new normal, a separation, a divorce, how you got there, how you got through it, because, you know, these are topics that I can take into our next guest and our next episode.
But right now, just us sitting here talking, I'm just thinking, you know, I really feel like Tommy and I are creating our new standard of a, a beautiful thing with Shams.
Like, I can see how Sha- how happy he is when the three of us hang out, and I'm so grateful for it.
I know a lot of people are curious, like, and coming from a good place, though, curious about, like, are they together? Are they not? And it's like, well, they're happy.
I have to tell you, like, we just started a new school year, and we have a new teacher.
There's a lot of things to go into, um, you know, in these coming weeks in the new episodes, that we're gonna have at least one out every week.
